Review of Media System: Authoritarian, Social Responsibility and Libertarian

An Authoritarian media system is when all channels of communication are strictly controlled by the government or influential elites. This usually involves censorship of all kinds including, moral, religious, political, military or corporate. Media contents are reviewed and monitored regularly to ensure that journalist or citizens do not violate this censorship. Hefty penalties against violators are also constitutional and freedom of speech are inexistent. The few media houses in an authoritarian system could be government or privately own, but typically supports the government's agenda and drive to protect the country’s image.  Government controls and monitors all forms of communication including Social media and entertainment. There are no known cases of journalists arrests or those who violated the censorship and scenes removed from movies. Saudi Arabia is a good example of an authoritarian media system as the government controls and monitors all forms of communication in
